Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia （CICA）

Since its establishment 30 years ago, CICA has developed into an important safety dialogue and consultation mechanism in Asia. In the field of mine safety, with the continuous progress of mining activities in various countries, safety risk prevention and control has become an important issue faced by all.

From November 19 to 21, 2024, the CICA Member States Intelligent Mine Safety Production Special Training and the Second CICA Member States Mine Safety Risk Prevention and Control International Seminar Series of Activities hosted by the International Cooperation and Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Management and organized by the Information Research Institute were held in Beijing. More than 50 representatives from 12 countries including the CICA Secretariat, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, Russia, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, and Uzbekistan, as well as safety supervision departments, embassies in China, representatives of key domestic mining companies, and experts and scholars from relevant universities participated in the international conference discussion and exchange activities.

At the international seminar, all parties conducted in-depth exchanges on industrial and mining safety laws and policies, and shared mine safety risk management experience and best practice cases. As a representative of Chinese technology companies serving the field of production safety management, GLTECH was invited to participate in this member country's international seminar on mine safety risk prevention and control and made a keynote speech. Focusing on mine gas disaster management, it shared new technologies and equipment for gas disaster management, and made an in-depth analysis of how to use intelligent and information-based means to help reduce the number of personnel, improve efficiency, and increase safety in the mine gas disaster management process. It fully demonstrated the successful application cases of innovative technological achievements in China and in some CICA member countries such as Uzbekistan and Russia.

The CICA member country mine safety risk prevention and control international seminar provides a platform for CICA member countries to exchange in-depth mine safety risk prevention and control. By sharing advanced experience and technology from various countries, member countries can learn from each other's excellent achievements and apply them to their own mine safety management, promote the improvement of mine safety production capacity in the entire CICA region, reduce the occurrence of mine accidents, and ensure the safety of miners and the sustainable development of mining enterprises.
